Job Title: Aftersales Parts Manager
Employment Status: Permanent
Line Manager: Global Aftersales Manager
Location: Shoreham-by-Sea
Standard Working Hours: 37.50 hours per week between 9:00am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday inclusive
Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays

We are currently recruiting an Aftersales Parts Manager to join the Aftersales department at our headquarters in Shoreham-By-Sea.

Over the last 13 years, Cox Powertrain have been on a mission to deliver a revolutionary new concept in ultra-lightweight diesel engines with their market revolutionising CXO300. Since 2007, Cox has successfully raised over £120 million of private investment, to bring the outboard from a dream to a reality. Having begun production in May 2020, the CXO300 is becoming hugely popular in the market and demand is on the rise.

2. JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Working within the Aftersales department, the Aftersales Parts manager will be responsible for sales & distribution, sourcing, stock management of parts & rigging to a global network of distributors and dealers. Controlling inventory of stock levels whilst maximising revenue and customer service alongside the aftersales department. Identification and resolution of logistic challenges minimising impact to business and customer experience.

2.1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieving revenue & contribution targets
  • Sourcing of parts whilst maintaining correct inventory levels to support the global network
  • Co-ordination of parts supply and logistics to collectively provide an optimised supply time and in turn reduce end users time out of the water.
  • High levels of customer service
  • Identify future supply/logistics challenges and overcome to reduce impact on supply chain
  • Ensure all legal export controls standards are met to provide prompt delivery of products
  • Provide accurate reporting of actual/forecast sales to provide maximum transparency for stake holders.
  • Understand and accommodate the short/mid/long term requirements of the aftersales departments.
  • Manage credit accounts and ensure prompt payment of creditors.
  • Manage inter-departmental relationships to achieve common goals.
  • Liaise with regional/international colleagues to understand market challenges
  • Manage parts procurement / parts-based operations are scalable for future business growth

4. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

4.1. NECESSARY

  • OEM Automotive industry experience desirable
  • Experienced in logistics, delivery services and project management, influencing key stakeholders and creating substantial outcomes
  • Global commercial, trade, supply chain and logistics experience and ability to interpret and analyse complex numerical and financial data
  • Ability to influence and engage at all levels to order to maximise Aftersales share of voice
  • Able to balance daily operational requirements with longer-terms strategic focus
  • Proactive mindset that designs creative solution to strategic and tactical challenges
  • Ability to manage time effectively and clearly prioritise tasks for self and team in a dynamic and change-oriented environment
  • Able to analyse and interpret complex numerical data
  • Exceptional understanding of global distribution challenges (legislation etc.)
  • Nurture and maintain good working relationships with customers, colleagues and third-party companies.
  • Have strong IT skills – proficient in the use of Microsoft office programs and have skills and experience
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Relevant Mechanical/Electrical ATA/NVQ/City and Guilds 1,2 &3 Vocational qualifications
  • Ability to follow complex procedures in a safe and accurate manner.

3.2. ADVANTAGEOUS

  • Experience of working on maritime powertrain and control systems.
  • Experience of Epicor platform.
  • Fluent in a second language – Spanish, Mandarin, German desirable
