We are currently recruiting a Regional Aftersales Manager to join the Sales and Marketing Department.

Over the last 13 years, Cox Powertrain have been on a mission to deliver a revolutionary new concept in ultra-lightweight diesel engines with their market revolutionising CXO300. Since 2007, Cox has successfully raised over £120 million of private investment, to bring the outboard from a dream to a reality. Having begun production in May 2020, the CXO300 is becoming hugely popular in the market and demand is on the rise. 

2.0 JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Working within the Cox Powertrain Commercial team, the Regional Aftersales Manager will be responsible for the commercial performance of the regional Aftersales business in parallel to ensuring excellent customer service levels and processes.

delivering technical support, upholding service standards of the distributor network, supporting training and technical integration support of Cox products in application. This will involve frequent communication and regular visits to Distributors in the territory. Supporting the expansion of the service network setting up new service agent appointments. Resolving customer complaints and ensuring end user satisfaction.  

2.1 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exceed annual revenue and margin spare parts sales targets, in line with company expectations

  • Provide accurate reporting of actual/forecast figures for KPI generation for both parts and customer service targets

  • Audit of service standards to ensure the Cox service network has the correct training, parts/rigging inventory and appropriate partner resources in place to meet SLA requirements and ensure customer satisfaction. This will require regular site visits

  • Ensure that service enquiries and support requests are handled in a timely and professional manner and logged appropriately on the systems

  • Support the pre sales process with the sales team to ensure boatbuilders receive the best possible integration upfront during the sales process

  • Provide technical support to resolve mechanical, electrical, vessel systems integration and control systems issues and general support enquiries

  • Assess efficiency of repair process, looking to drive improvements regarding turnaround time, quality, engineering capability

  • Analysing aftersales data to generate reports that clearly define and communicate issues to other business functions

  • Represent our Company at Trade Exhibitions and Boat Shows 

  • Working collaboratively with other areas of the business and partner organisations to provide technical solutions, in a timely manner to integrate Cox products into vessel projects.

  • Build inter-departmental relationships to achieve common goals.

  • Liaise with regional/international colleagues to understand their challenges

  • Maintaining records to provide audit trails that demonstrate regulatory and legislative requirements are being met.

3.0 SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5 Years’ Experience of working on maritime powertrain/propulsion and control systems

  • Relevant vocational Mechanical/Electrical qualifications OR BEng, BSc Degree educated in a STEM (Science, technology, engineering, or Maths) subject.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to balance and prioritise workload to deliver excellent levels of customer service

  • Proactive and flexible mindset

  • Able to understand bills of material and engineering change processes

  • Nurture and maintain good working relationships with distributers, colleagues, and third-party companies.

  • Ability to follow and describe complex technical procedures in a safe and accurate manner.

  • Have strong IT skills – proficient in the use of Microsoft office programs and have experience of PC based Control System Diagnostic applications.

  • Ability to maintain the very highest levels of attention to detail even when under pressure

  • Methodical approach to fault diagnosis.

  • Ability to be able to analyse data to make evidence-based decisions to derive the best course of action.

 

 

3.1 ADVANTAGEOUS

  • Experience of Epicor, Teamcenter, Salesforce platforms.

  • Experience maintaining Common Rail Fuel Injection Diesel engines

  • Experience in conducting vessel sea trial

  • Understanding of Maritime craft sign off process and acceptance criteria.

  • Operation of small powered marine craft.
