SALARY RANGE: Up to £50,000, dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting a Regional Marketing Manager to join the EMEA regional team.

15 years ago, Cox Marine embarked on its mission to significantly reduce marine emissions through the development and application of innovative technology. During this time Cox has gone on to raise over £150 million in funds from private investors around the globe, all of whom share and support our goal.

The culmination of our joint effort, 2022 marks a significant milestone in Cox’s history- the launch of the CXO300. A revolutionary new concept in ultra-lightweight diesel engine, the CXO300 burns less fuel than its prevalent gasoline equivalent, and with it produces significantly less harmful CO2 emissions. The best part is it’s also safer!

However, a great product needs a great team- to realise its potential, and that why we’re looking for you- our next Regional Marketing Manager.

Working with a team of 7 other likeminded professional marketeers and our creative agencies, you’ll provide all rounds marketing support. From advertising to event execution, you’ll guide and steer our customers marketing investment and execution as well as supporting global marketing campaign roll outs within your region.

Role and Responsibilities Overview

Employing a full range of marketing expertise, you’ll act as the locale marketing expert and brand authority within your given territory.

As both a conduit and facilitator, you’ll create a direct relationship between Cox Marine’s marketing function and its customers, to maximise opportunities for both parties.

Through proximity of activities and relationships you’ll feedback insight from the ‘voice of the consumer and customer’ to the wider marketing team to inform and shape Cox’s global and locale marketing and product plans.

Focused on driving reach and penetration you’ll support the locale roll out of global brand plans, ensuring customers have; sight of, conform to and invest in, their execution locally. With a particular focus on press and communications, you’ll foster direct relationships with-in territory journalists, to drive demonstrations and coverage, while simultaneously providing a pipeline of regular case studies of successful Cox installations for use in Cox Marine’s global communication strategy.

In conjunction with these global responsibilities, you’ll also provide oversight, guidance, and governance to Cox customers as they complete and submit their locale marketing plans. Reviewing their proposed array of tactics, you’ll validate their appropriateness in the support of Cox own marketing objectives and likeliness to fill the sales funnel with qualified leads. Where necessary you’ll provide input and corrective measures to optimise customer’s marketing plans.

You’ll drive the continuity of our global message out to your region, through the leverage of global marketing plans and customer’s locale marketing activities, to develop familiarity and trust with our prospective end consumers.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

  • Be the ‘go to’ in territory marketing expert for Cox Marine.
  • Create and maintain positive working relationships with Cox Marine’s distribution network (customers).
  • Foster a network of locale press contacts to drive product trial and generate coverage.
  • Engage with locale event organisers to optimise customer attendance opportunities.
  • Support the creation of direct relationships with end consumers (commercial and recreational).

Customer Management

  • Disseminate global brand plans and campaigns to customers ensuring their objectives, timelines and contributions are well known.
  • Facilitate the execution of global brand campaigns by maintaining high levels of communication between the wider brand team and its customers.
  • Deliver global brand assets in a timely manner to enable customer adoption and adaption in accordance with global timelines.
  • Oversee the end-to-end creation, population, and submission of customers locale marketing templates.
  • Provide continued support to customers in the execution of locale marketing plans, reviewing performance ongoing and advising on corrective measure where necessary.
  • Employ commercial acumen to assess the suitability of proposed customer investment and activities, providing guidance as required.
  • Relay customer performance metrics to wider marketing team, providing insights into what is working well and recommendations for improvements.
  • Champion ‘regional excellence’ by highlighting customer campaign success to the wider customer base enabling learning and adoption.
  • Encourage the adoption of ‘traceable’ marketing activities and their subsequent performance review, using insights and learning to refine local plans.
  • Maintain visibility of marketing qualified leads and customers response rates.


  • Act as an ambassador for Cox Marine’s global brand ensuring adherence to plans and guidelines by locale customers.
  • Relay the ‘voice of both the customer and end consumer’ to Cox to guide strategy development and new product development.
  • Organise and execute locale press activity, specifically product trial, via customer demo vessels and relay coverage results accordingly.
  • Feed the global communication strategy with locale news and installation successes to position Cox positively in the public domain.
  • Input into the creation and execution of Cox’s global communication strategy through the creation of ad hoc social, email and blog content.


  • Input into Cox global events strategy by relaying locale event opportunities, assessing their strategic value and likely return on investment.
  • Provide recommendation to customers on suitable locale events to attend.
  • Guide customer event attendance, ensuring a robust approach to the brands presentation, message communication and performance measurement.
  • Support customers with ‘on event’ attendance and execution.
  • Provide post-mortem summary highlighting strengths and areas for improvement to the wider marketing department.

Skills and Experience


  • Minimum of 4-5 years working within a marketing position managing external parties.
  • Business/ and or related degree or equivalent marketing working experience.
  • Marketing both B2B and B2C.
  • Working closely with Sales teams.
  • Working directly with customers and consumers.
  • Developing and executing marketing plans.
  • Content marketing- both creating and broadcasting.
  • Liaising with press to create opportunities and coverage.
  • Identify consumer behaviours and trends.
  • Customer relationship management tools and lead management.
  • Critiquing marketing touchpoints.
  • Reporting.


  • Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma or equivalent.
  • Worked within a marketing agency or marketing consultant.
  • 2nd language beyond English.
  • Familiar either personally or professional with the marine industry.
  • Has a passion for the water and water sports.
  • Has marketed technical products previously.
  • Sales Force experience.
